Why I chose to express myself through poetry?

I’ve always found refuge in the gentle power of words. Even as a child, I felt a quiet thrill in discovering how a single phrase could capture laughter, grief or wonder, and carry it far beyond the moment it was born.
Poetry, for me, is the art of freezing those fleeting instants, those breaths between heartbeats, and giving them a voice that lingers. When I write, I’m reaching into the raw fabric of experience: the warmth of sunlight on skin, the ache of longing, the sudden clarity that comes with a midnight thought. My verses are an invitation to step inside those moments with me, to feel what I’ve felt and perhaps see the world a little differently.
Over the years, I’ve shared my poems in journals, on stages at spoken‑word nights, and in quiet corners with fellow readers. Each publication or performance taught me something new, about language, about confidence, about the ways we connect. But awards and applause aren’t why I write. I write because words are my compass: they help me navigate life’s complexities, untangle my own emotions and build bridges of understanding with others.
Whether I’m sketching a fresh poem or shaping a marketing narrative, my guiding belief is the same: real impact comes from authenticity. I choose poetry because it demands honesty, invites emotion, and reminds us all that, at our core, we share the same tapestry of hopes, fears and dreams.
